چکیده

Abstract. To study sea-derived gaseous amines, ammonia, and primary particulate aminium ions in the marine atmosphere of China's marginal seas, an onboard URG-9000D Ambient Ion Monitor-Ion Chromatograph (AIM-IC, Thermo Fisher) was set up on front deck R/V Dongfanghong-3 to semi-continuously measure spatiotemporal variations concentrations atmospheric trimethylamine (TMAgas), dimethylamine (DMAgas), ammonia (NH3gas) along with their matter (PM2.5) counterparts. In this study, we differentiated emissions gas species from continental transport using data obtained 9 22 December 2019 during cruise over Yellow Bohai facilitated by additional short-term measurements collected at a coastal site near Sea summer, fall, winter 2019. The sites demonstrated that observed TMAgas protonated (TMAH+) PM2.5 seas overwhelmingly originated sources. During cruise, no significant correlation (P>0.05) between simultaneously measured TMAH+ concentrations. Additionally, varied around 0.28±0.18 µg m−3 (average ± standard deviation), several episodic hourly average values exceeding 1 m−3, which were approximately order magnitude larger than those (approximately 0.031±0.009 m−3). Moreover, there negative (P<0.01) NH4+ PM2.5. Therefore, derived sea-spray aerosols. Using as tracers for basic gases ions, non-sea-derived DMAgas, NH3gas, non-sea-spray DMAH+ estimated. estimated each contributed 16 %, 34 65 % PM2.5, respectively. An Improved Method to Analyze Trimethylamine in Fish and the Interference of Ammonia and Dimethylamine

The trimethylamine content of most marine fish, especially the gadoid species, is internationally accepted as an index ofspoilage. However, ammonia, dimethylamine, and other aminesalso contribute to the trimethylamine value. Variations in the conditions of the three current methods used to analyze for trimethylamine content were studied in detail to determine the best condition to extract trime...

Protease Inhibitors from Marine Venomous Animals and Their Counterparts in Terrestrial Venomous Animals

The Kunitz-type protease inhibitors are the best-characterized family of serine protease inhibitors, probably due to their abundance in several organisms. These inhibitors consist of a chain of ~60 amino acid residues stabilized by three disulfide bridges, and was first observed in the bovine pancreatic trypsin inhibitor (BPTI)-like protease inhibitors, which strongly inhibit trypsin and chymot...

Particulate Matter and Ammonia Emission Factors

Emissions rates for particulate matter less than 10 m (PM10) and ammonia (NH3) from commercial tunnel–ventilated broiler houses in central Texas were analyzed using linear regressions to develop emission rates as a function of bird weight for broilers on litter. Interior ambient temperature and relative humidity were not found to be significant factors affecting emissions. From the regression e...

Differentiating littering, urban runoff and marine transport as sources of marine debris in coastal and estuarine environments

Marine debris is a burgeoning global issue with economic, ecological and aesthetic impacts. While there are many studies now addressing this topic, the influence of urbanisation factors such as local population density, stormwater drains and roads on the distribution of coastal litter remains poorly understood. To address this knowledge gap, we carried out standardized surveys at 224 transect s...
